The Beekeepers Academy is an online, membership-based education platform delivering expert-led beekeeping training, mentorship, and resources for beekeepers of all experience levels — from beginners to advanced practitioners.
TBA is for anyone who wants to grow their beekeeping knowledge and capabilities — whether you’re just starting with your first hive or already managing multiple colonies and interested in advanced queen rearing, management strategies, or treatment-free practices.
We currently offer four membership levels: Explorer (free), Core, Pro, and Golden. Each plan unlocks different levels of access to our library, services, and mentor support, depending on your needs and how deeply you want to engage.
Golden membership — our most comprehensive plan — includes: full access to the video library, unlimited Video Answers, unlimited one-on-one consultations, priority mentor access (“Mentor in Your Pocket”), personalized project guidance, and participation in exclusive monthly live sessions during beekeeping season (Feb–Oct).
Yes. The Beekeepers Academy provides research-informed educational presentations for academic programs, beekeeper associations, and professional groups. Presentations are tailored to the audience and may be delivered virtually or in person. Inquiries can be submitted through Hello@TheBeekeepersAcademy.com.
Yes, a subscription is required. You can access Free Resource Library and member areas with the Explorer (free) membership, while video viewing and premium features are available with paid plans like Core or Golden.
Your mentors include researchers, PhDs, master beekeepers, and queen breeders, all with decades of hands-on experience in beekeeping.
You can schedule consultations directly through our website. Simply log in, check your membership level, and access the scheduling form in your member area.
You can cancel your subscription renewal anytime. Your benefits will remain active until the end of the paid period, after which access to subscription-based features will end.
No. We’ve moved to a membership-only model. All access is through membership tiers.

Because memberships provide immediate access to digital materials, all sales are final and non-refundable. You may cancel future renewals at any time, and your access will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Dr. Debnam knows his bees so well he rarely needs one. Tamila, on the other hand, is allergic, carries an EpiPen, and prefers not to get stung in the face right before a presentation.
No. We support treatment-free, natural, and conventional beekeepers. We teach the biology so you can choose methods that fit your values and goals.

No prior experience is required. We start with the fundamentals—hive setup, inspections, and seasonal management—and build toward advanced topics like queen rearing and colony health.
Yes. If your membership tier includes Video Answers, you can submit detailed questions and get tailored video responses from mentors.
Yes. We teach treatment-free, conventional, and integrated approaches, and explain the biology behind each so beekeepers can make informed decisions for their own operations.
Tamila Morgan has practiced treatment-free beekeeping for over 14 years, and the genetic stock used in her program has been treatment-free for 30 years. She teaches responsible treatment-free management and small-scale, treatment-free queen breeding, with an emphasis on colony health, selection, and long-term sustainability.
