I am proud to announce the publication of my paper titled "Energetic Costs of Raising Brood in Honey Bee Colonies Are High, But Heater Bees Are Cheap" in the Journal of Insect Physiology. I’m excited to share this manuscript with you! This is a significant milestone for me, and I can’t wait for you all to read it.
Additionally, I am pleased to share that my submission to the Journal of Apicultural Research has been accepted (but not yet published. We'll provide the link when available). Here is a copy of my paper titled "Honey Bee Eggs, Larvae, Pupating Juveniles, and Pupae Develop at Slightly Different Temperatures and Are All Warmer Than the Brood Nest." I hope you find the information interesting and informative.
As beekeepers, we are often asked whether honey bees pose a threat to native pollinators. To address this question, I wrote an article titled "Exotic Insect Pollinators and Native Pollination Systems," which was published in the journal Plant Ecology. In this article, I discuss the impacts that introduced honey bees can have on native plants and insects.
